In 1987 David Yokeum, now president of WCA Family of Logistic Networks, almost invented the concept of networking for freight forwarders. He created the first ever worldwide exclusive network that was neutrally managed and operated to truly benefit the members of the group.

He spent the next decade travelling the world meeting face to face with independent forwarders that are seeking better agency/partner options for the future and has visited the offices of more than 4,000 such forwarders in his quest to find out just what forwarders and their customers need for optimum networking.

By 1998 David had refined his vision of a much more effective, much stronger network structure for forwarders which would be of greater benefit to them and their clients – so he founded World Cargo Alliance, the first ever privately owned and managed forwarder network that was truly neutral and with its only priority to serve ALL members worldwide. WCA does not engage in moving cargo and does not profit from any form of cargo transportation.

Every company that applies to join WCA is individually and carefully examined to ensure high standards of professionalism and experience and more than two-thirds of applications to join WCA are rejected. WCA's experts not only take a close look at potential applicants but continue to monitor their performance and that of their their fellow members on a full-time basis to ensure the strict rules of the network are adhered to. Likewise, members appreciate the benefits - no-one at WCA can remember the last time a company voluntarily resigned from membership.

WCA has 5 Member Support Centers worldwide as part of the WCA Family of Logistic Networks in Amsterdam, Bangkok, Miami, Mumbai and Shanghai, with more than 75 professional full time staff solely to serve members needs.

As a division of WCA Family, WCA members enjoy substantial benefits that no other network can deliver. No other network has anywhere near the resources and support that WCA Family members enjoy. For more information, please contact WCA general manager Mark Mairowitz at mmairowitz@wcafamily.com.
